Okay Tumblr, I have a challenge for you.

My friend is intrigued by the idea of Kirk/Spock, but doesn’t actively ship them yet. He is interested in reading some fic about them though, just to get the feel of the ship.

I need fic recs.

I need the best of the best Kirk/Spock Nu!Trek fic. It has to be 10k or less, otherwise he might find it too daunting, but I want something that makes him think “Yes. This is a good ship” after reading it. I want a fic that will make him think of Kirk/Spock as his OTP of OTPs. I want something to BLOW. HIS. MIND.

(Mostly because then I get to read it too, bonus!)

I’ll take anything from Nu!Trek, AOS, whether it’s AU, canon-compliant, only after the first movie, or after Into Darkness. Give me your best.
